About Me

I enjoy writing in several genres: non-fiction; creative non-fiction; and cozy murder mysteries.

I was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Culver City, CA, the home of MGM Studios. My elementary school was just one block from Desilu Studios. Culver City was a great place to grow-up. There was always something fun to explore.

After graduating cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Public Health degree with a minor in journalism and completing an internship in dietetics at UCLA Hospital, my career took me in many directions.

My past work experience includes working in a teaching hospital as a Registered Dietitian; teaching Health and Nutrition at the college level; conducting workshops on health and nutrition; counseling clients on weight issues and on eating disorders; and writing a weekly health and nutrition column which was syndicated for three years and was distributed to about 100 newspapers world-wide.

I am a member of Sisters in Crime.

I live in the suburbs of Boston with my husband and our Old English Sheepdog named Macy.

I have a passion for travel. I’ve visited 45 states and over 30 countries. I’m often asked which place is my favorite. That’s impossible to answer. I’ve loved it all.

I volunteer with a dog rescue group.

I love to go camping.

I’m passionate about promoting women’s health as well as public health.

I’m passionate about playing badminton. I absolutely love it.
